The Laguna Desktop

The Laguna window has four main components: The Menu, the Toolbar, the Map and the Activity Log.

The Map

The map is obtained directly from the internet, an active internet connection is required to display the map. The map data is initially obtained based off the zipcode entered for Central during the activation process. You can change this by using the Setup->Central System menu item.

The Menu

The menu and hot-keys allow you to navigate and use different aspects of the user interface. The menu is grouped into common features:

Central System - items that affect the PC

Controller - items that affect the controllers that have been setup for your site

Weather - items that are related to weather such as micro-climates, rain and ET calendars

Reports - items that monitor and report the site's health

Manual Operations - interactions with controllers outside of scheduled activity

Setup - configure all devices that exist at your site

Map - navigate and modify the map

Help - provide help and trigger updates to the latest version of Laguna

Tap the Alt key to access the menu from the keyboard.

 

The Toolbar (Ribbon)

Laguna's functions are accessed primarily through the Ribbon Toolbar (or Toolbar for short). It is divided into tabs that group functions according to tasks.
