It is highly recommended not to combine AIM and Advanced ET scheduling on the same controller. That is, if programming Advanced ET and AIM stations on the same controller, then it is recommended that all stations not in conventional programming, are scheduled via AIM. AIM and Advanced ET schedule stations on separate water windows and do not take into consideration possible overlaps generated by each other as they each use different constraints to determine when a station is allowed to turn on. The following diagram illustrates recommended configurations:

Laguna programs stations to run at a minute minimum interval. This is due to a limitation of Controllers not being able to be programmed at the second interval. Thus, by programming at full minute intervals, we reduce the opportunity for water hammer from stations turning off mid-minute.

Due to the aforementioned minute resolution restrictions, there are certain instances where a station’s total runtime may not be able to be programmed as there will not be any combination of start times and cycle time that will produce a total runtime that matches what has been entered or calculated. In this situation, an alarm will be generated (Alarms).
