The Laguna Windows Service (also known as Laguna Operation Executive Service), manages all interactions in the controllers, weather stations and repeaters.

The purpose of the service is to interact with the controllers in your system using the assigned LAN and COM ports without causing interference.

It provides all the logic and synchronization to manage communications with devices.

This service runs in the background regardless of whether a any user is signed on or not.

The scheduled events that are created will execute at the designated time and run through completion. Only one task will run at any given time.

Scheduled events take priority over manual operations issued from the Laguna user interface.

You can cancel a scheduled event that is in progress by right clicking on the Activity Log icon in the system tray and selecting Cancel Scheduled Event.

The service runs with administrator privileges so not all users will be able to restart or stop.

The service will automatically restart when the PC is rebooted. If the PC reboots due to a power outage for example, your scheduled events will continue after the PC restarts.

If you are experiencing trouble with the service, first check that Microsoft Windows Updates have been applied and then reboot the PC. If the problem persists, contact Tech Support.
