The setup for AIM begins in the ISC form by creating the irrigation tree. See Section 1.3 for a step-by-step process on how to do this.

After creating the irrigation tree, stations can be programmed manually, through Basic ET, or Advanced ET. If programmed manually or through Basic ET, total runtime, max cycle time, and minimum soak time must all be entered in the stations grid.

Stations programmed in Advanced ET will not need manual input on these properties as they are calculated automatically every day.

Additionally, AIM takes into consideration the Priority property in the stations grid. This column provides the opportunity to tell the scheduler which stations are more important than others through the five options in decreasing precedence: Essential, High, Moderate, Neutral, and Low.
