If you click on a specific controller, radio or weather station icon, a pop-up is displayed.

One of the options is Notes.

Clicking on this Notes icon will open a Microsoft Wordpad document and if Microsoft Word is installed, a Microsoft Word document.  Device specific notes can be made and saved in this document.  These notes can be reviewed at a later date by simply clicking on the Notes icon.

Tip: Pictures can also be saved on this document, which gives the manager the ability to pin an as-built or simple irrigation system diagram to each controller.

Microsoft Word instructions dictate the process, but here is an example of a process:

1.Scan the drawing and save as a picture OR copy a PDF and save as a picture.  Use PNG, GIF, JPEG or similar file format.  Microsoft Paint is a good tool for this.  Note the file name and where it is saved.

2.From the Laguna desktop, click on a controller to open the controller pop-up.  Select Notes.

3.Once the Microsoft Word document opens, click on Insert in the banner and select “Pictures”

4.Locate the file created in Step 1 and highlight.  Click  the Insert command button.  The picture will be inserted into the Controller Notes word document.

5.Use the MS Word commands, such as layout/orientation, Resize and Crop to manipulate the picture into a useable size.

6.Click SAVE and close the document.

7.The Word Document/drawing can be retrieved by clicking on the Controller Notes button.

Note:  This does not prevent the manager from adding notes to the document for future reference.
