Communications Tests

Communication tests is used to test if communication to the controller is stable when it is installed on the field.

From Laguna desktop,

1.Click on the Central menu.  Select Maintenance -> Communication Tests.

2.Select the controller from the controllers grid to test the communication for.

3.Choose the test type from the combo-box (Read Comm counts, Ping, or Program 12) and the number of tests to be run.

4.Select Start Test.

Read Comm Counts: Feature retrieves data from the controller to test communication.

Ping: Feature has been combined to be similar to Oasis by sending a command to press either F6, Quit or status commands to the controller.

Program (12): Feature sends down program number 12 to the controller and then retrieves program 12 and compares the data to stress the communication with a higher amount of data.
